About D & J Tire Sales
Located at 330 Belmont Ave, Haledon, NJ 07508, D & J Tire Sales operates as an auto repair shop serving Haledon in New Jersey. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 am–4 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Haledon is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Haledon is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New Jersey's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Guilian and John are THE BEST!! I wouldn’t trust my vehicles to be worked on anywhere else! They’ve done all my brake work on my S550 and Lincoln! I’ve ordered tires for both vehicles that are either there the same day or by the next morning… it’s rare to find a local shop as this, that can get tires for 22” rims within hours! Honesty and always top notch work!

As a young woman, I have had very bad experiences at auto shops, however my experience at D&J Tire Sales was the complete opposite of any negative experience I’ve had. These guys were able to fit me in same day and did such a great job. They replaced two rear tires and had me in and out within 30 minutes and charged the most reasonable price out of any prior shops I have been to. These guys were kind, helpful, and HONEST!! D&J gained a new customer for life!

I had a fantastic experience at D & J Tire Sales, and I'm delighted to leave a glowing review. The customer service here is truly exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome by the staff. What impressed me the most was the efficiency of the team. I needed my tires replaced, and they worked quickly and expertly to get the job done. The manager and staff were not only skilled at their work but also extremely fast. They didn't waste any time in getting my tires replaced, which I greatly appreciated. One particular instance that stood out to me was when I visited 10 minutes before closing time. Instead of being turned away or told they couldn't take any more customers, the staff not only welcomed me but also made me feel like a valued customer. Their dedication to ensuring I left with safe and properly installed tires, even with the time constraints, left a lasting impression on me. In addition to their efficiency and excellent service, the quality of the work done on my vehicle was top-notch. My new tires are performing flawlessly, and I have D & J Tire Sales to thank for it. I couldn't be happier with my experience at D & J Tire Sales.

Don't go here if you have a car with an aftermarket suspension like coilovers. They don't know what they're doing. I went to them because they had good reviews and seemed like a good shop. I had them install new tires (which they did fine) and asked them to do an alignment and adjust the ride height. They said they did it but when I left the shop it didn't seem right. The guy at the shop had an attitude so I just I just left. Recently, I went to get work done at another shop who specializes in my car and he mentioned how they the alignment was all messed up . The new shop tried calling D&J to see if they would work with my him to fix the problem they blew him off.

I hate flat tires! Lucky me, picked up a nail so I called D&J to rescue my tire. They were nice on the phone, offered to fix it right away and when I arrived I noticed this is not the D&J we know from years ago. They were nice, too, but today the waiting room is spotless as is the garage. They patched my tire in a reasonable amount of time at a reasonable cost and I'm back on the road!
